How to Get Your Free Annual Credit Report

The Consumer Financial Protection Agency (CFPB) Is Back!

After being gutted by the last administration the CFPB is back in its role as a watchdog and is actively enforcing consumer rights. 

The CFPB recently provided updated information explaining your rights to obtain a free copy of your credit report. You can review the update at the link below.

The CFPB page also provided an accurate link to the site maintained by the Credit Reporting Agencies where you can get your annual free report. Be careful! At last count, there were over 200 spoof sites with closely (mis)spellings of the actual site! NEVER put in your credit card; if you are asked for one, you are at a fake site.
